This is a free video to get everyone up to speed on the basics of ‘Stems and Branches’, aka wǔyùn liùqì, so you can watch the Sùwèn year prediction with a minimum of shared understanding.

You may need to watch this a few times if you do not know anything about wǔyùn liùqì (aka the Seven Great Treatises of the Huángdì Nèijīng Sùwèn; Sùwèn 66 to Sùwèn 71 and Sùwèn 74). I have packed a lot of information in there – with the aim of giving you an overall view, not of all the Seven Great Treatises, but enough to be able to listen to the year prediction video, which is available separately.

The wǔyùn liùqì chapters give very detailed information about disease related to climatic imbalance – they are a form of medical divination (iatromancy). Please bear in mind that what is predicted may not happen – there are many other factors involved.

The year prediction is a summary of what the wǔyùn liùqì chapters say about the whole year, the two halves of the year, and the six seasons of the year: not only in terms of potential environmental changes, but also in terms of diseases expected due to the climatic imbalances of the year. I have remained wholly within the scope of the Seven Great Treatises for this summary.
