The basics of time in ancient and medieval China
by
Deborah Woolf

This course video is available after purchase.
A romp through some of the many ways ancient and medieval China looked at time. This includes astronomical aspects such as the sun, moon and planets. Also musical tones and pitchpipes (surprisingly related to calendrical counting). Solstices, equinoxes, and (of course) solar fortnights (jieqi).
This is useful also if you want to understand the foundations of Stems and Branches.
