Holographic Guasha workshop

Palpation, the art of physical examination through touch, is widely recognized as an essential diagnostic tool in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). However, despite its importance, this skill is often underemphasized and rarely taught in a hands-on, practical manner. This workshop seeks to address that gap by offering an immersive and interactive learning experience, focusing specifically on the foundational techniques of palpation—particularly belly (hara) palpation.

This one day practical workshop introduces how Gua sha can be used to help common ailments like coughs, colds, stomach-ache, stiff neck, shoulder pain and insomnia. Moxibustion - workshop

Moxibustion is highly regarded in traditional medicine for its ability to strengthen the body's vital energy (Qi), dispel cold and dampness, and promote overall balance and well-being. It can be a powerful stand-alone therapy or a complementary technique that enhances the effectiveness of acupuncture or shiatsu treatments.
This workshop will provide comprehensive, hands-on training in various forms of moxibustion, with a particular emphasis on practical application. Participants will learn through direct experience, working with each other to develop the skills needed to perform moxibustion safely and effectively.

Hara diagnosis - the basics

Here is what some past participants have said about Deborah's teaching:

"Deborah's teaching is always an exciting journey through a deep exploration of aspects of Chinese medicine. Her knowledge and passion for the subject shine through each series of lectures and her enthusiasm is contagious. Deborah is sensitive to her audience and designs her lectures so they are accessible for everyone. I always look forward to learning with Deborah and leave with new insights and lots to reflect on!"

"Deborah has a love and a global view of her subject which inspires her to draw together the circular threads of knowledge for each topic she immerses herself in. She creates a field of colour, sounds, flavours and visuals allowing you to hear and see and take in knowledge using all your senses and gives it a depth and richness. She is entertaining whilst educating. There is always something significant and resonant to incorporate at whatever level your understanding of Chinese medicine resides."

"Deborah has an in depth theoretical and practical knowledge, and knows how to use it in her teaching. She combines her knowledge of Classical and modern texts with her study of the Chinese characters, and by this she is able to depict and explain complex concepts in the most simple and straightforward way- without losing any depths or important meaning. If you are thinking of attending one of her CPDs, stop thinking and book it already, you will not regret it."
